A honeymoon is a very important phase of life which mark
the beginning of a lovely relationship between two individuals. Therefore, it
becomes necessary that it should be planned at a special destination. The tiny
Indian state of Goa is quite a hit with honeymooners looking forward to enjoy some
romantic moments in seclusion.
While in Goa, couples can enjoy some intimate moments by
strolling alongside the beach promenade. The
125 kilometer long shoreline of Goa is dotted with several breathtakingly
beautiful beaches known for their shimmering sands and swaying palm trees. Here
tourists can laze around in the sun, enjoy the charming sunset views and feel
the adrenaline rush by indulging in the water sport activities. Some
of the popular names of beaches are Mabor,
Dona Paula, Calangute, Miramar, Bagmola, Cavelossim and Arambol.
A river cruise on the Mandovi river is
another enjoyable experience for the honeymooners. There are a total of six rivers that flows
through this state- Talpona, Zuari, Mandovi Chapora, Tiracol and Sal. The river
cruise in Goa is filled with fun & excitement and can be undertaken both
during the daytime & night. During the cruise, tourists can explore the
natural beauty, marine life & historical monuments and can take delight in
the performance of the local cultural troupe.
For those looking forward to enjoy the colorful facet of Goa, then you must visit this place at the time of Sun Burn & Carnival festival. While Sun Burn celebrated in the last week of December is an international event visited by international musicians, Dj’s and Bollywood stars, Carnival, celebrated in the month of February, is the local cultural festival marked by dance, music, parade and feast. This is what I feel can be done in Goa, however, there are other ‘things to do’ that one can think of.
