Velha Goa

If you want to observe Portuguese and Christian influence on Goa from close quarters, Velha or Old Goa is the best bet available. The town is scattered with a large number of churches and cathedrals that offers a sneak peek into the Portuguese past. Some famous attractions of this place include Basilica of Bomb Jesus, Church of St. Francis of Assissi and Se Cathedral.
