Goa Trip: For a Relaxing Beach Vacation
Goa is internationally acclaimed as a cosmopolitan beach destination in India owing to its unruffled ambience and five star hotels. Visited by 2 million tourists every year, Goa is a place wherein evening sun slowly inches towards the horizon and finally mingles with the sparkling waters of Arabian Sea. The sight is a relaxing retreat for eyes that takes away the fatigue of entire day.
The landscape of beaches in this tiny Indian state is shrouded with silvery white sands fringed with swaying palm trees. The interplay of silvery sands and gushing sea waves gives a call to the adventure enthusiasts to partake in thrilling water sports. When it comes to adventure water sports, the name of Mobor and Sinquerim beach tops the chart. It allows tourists to feel the adrenaline rush by indulging in water sports such as Jet Ski, parasailing, water skiing and surfing among others.
The coastline of Goa is 103 kilometers long and is marked with around 40 palm fringed beaches such as Vagator, Baga, Anjuna, Calangute, Sinquerim, Colva, Candolim and Miramar. These beaches are broadly divided into northern and southern regions. Among all the above mentioned beaches, Anjuna and Vagator are quite synonymous with the culture of trance parties that began with the arrival of Hippies in 1960’s. On the other hand, Calangute deals more with the concept of family holidays and is fully equipped with beach resorts and hotels.
The beaches of South Goa such as Agonda, Palolem and Colva are fondly visited for their secluded and tranquil ambience. Agonda is particularly famous for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming. Then there is Colva which has religious significance to it. The Colva church, particularly in October, is visited by hordes of pilgrims. Beaches of Goa offers a fun filled experience to all kinds of tourists. Whether you are an adventure lover, party animal or a peace loving tourist, these beaches caters to all.
